Rămășițele unui prezentator de emisiuni de tip "mituri demontate" sunt găsite în sălbăticie, păreau să fi fost ucise de miticul Chupacabra, o creatură hibridă între reptilă și mamifer, a cărei existență nu a fost confirmată. Echipa află curând că victima a călătorit în zona îndepărtată din Virginia de Vest pentru a demonta mitul Chupacabra și interoghează posibili suspecți, inclusiv un rival prezentator de canal de sălbăticie/criptozoolog/psihic pentru animale de companie. Dar când o bandă este recuperată de la locul crimei și se găsesc urme ciudate de dinți în rămășițele victimei, echipa află detalii despre moartea victimei care contestă teoriile originale legate de decesul său. Între timp, alcoolicul în recuperare, strabismul Vincent Nigel-Murray, își face împăcări cu fiecare membru al echipei și face câteva mărturisiri surprinzătoare.
