O poveste despre traseul de luptă al unei ramuri. Ultimele zile din iulie 1944. Pe străzile Varșoviei se deplasează coloane de trupe germane retrase de pe frontul estic. Orașul se dezvoltă. Ofițerii Armatei Naționale dezbat izbucnirea revoltei. Janek, Bronek, Michał și Władek sunt repartizați într-o companie specială, care, în timpul revoltei, este destinată să fie o acoperire pentru Statul Major.
